GRE Prep that fits with your life.

​Each year, I assist several dozen students with preparing for the GRE. Some students come to me for comprehensive exam prep, while others seek help only on one or two sections of the exam. I've had exceptional success preparing students with a wide variety of needs, including "emergency" prep within a couple of weeks of a student's test date. 

Ideally, comprehensive GRE prep begins 3-4 months before your exam date, but you can work with me for any duration or number of hours that will benefit you most. A few notes:

• Many students take the GRE while working and/or attending school. For that reason, my scheduling is flexible, including morning, evening, and weekend appointments.

 

• I structure my students' study programs around their needs and skills. Each student is different; you will receive a personalized GRE prep plan that is tailored to your specific needs.

 

• Comprehensive prep typically entails 15-20 hours of lesson time over 3-4 months, plus lots of work on your own between lessons. This number is completely flexible. The biggest variable tends to be a student's proficiency with high school level math. If this is your strong suit, 12 hours might be plenty. If you know your basic math skills will be an issue, we might want more time together.

 

• I also provide assistance with personal statements — a project that often starts right after you take your GRE!

Fees
My fee for GRE prep is $200 per hour. I am sometimes able to offer need-based discounts to individuals in social work, teaching, and other nonprofit fields. Please let me know if this might apply to you.
