I began tutoring 15 years ago. Since then, I've worked successfully with a wide variety of students and families around the Bay Area. I've helped students improve their grades, raise their test scores, and earn admission into top colleges and universities.

My wide-ranging experience includes training with three respected agencies and one of the country's top accelerated learning programs, along with face-to-face work with hundreds of students. I'm a member of the Bay Area Tutoring Summit (BATS), which provides ongoing professional development and peer review opportunities for private educators. A year of being "behind the desk"--instructing AP Psychology at Sacred Heart Cathedral in place of a teacher who took an unexpected leave of absence—has further enriched and informed how I work with my private clients.

Additionally at SHC, I'm in my twelfth year of providing tutoring and college admissions services to students in the Piro Scholars Program, an academic, leadership development, and scholarship program for low-income, first-generation college-bound students. I also contribute to the BATS Scholars Program, which offers pro-bono services for students from low-income backgrounds.

My education includes a B.A. with Honors in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma, where I competed on the nationally ranked golf team. While at Oklahoma, I was honored as the university's Scholar-Athlete of the Year and an Academic All-American. Prior to enrolling at Oklahoma, I graduated from La Jolla High School in San Diego with a 4.4 GPA, and was honored as a National Merit Scholar.

Outside of work, I continue to play golf at a high competitive level. Over the past few years, I've been one of the most successful amateur golfers in California, winning three Northern California Golf Association championships and qualifying for several USGA national championships.

When I'm not working, competing, or practicing, I'm usually either cooking or spending quality time with my two adorable cats,
Marge and Linda.
