Subject Tutoring

I offer tutoring in a number of academic subjects including
  • Math up to high-school level calculus
  • Writing, in all of its academic forms
  • Basic (i.e. freshman/sophomore level) Chemistry and Biology
  • Psychology (I've previously taught AP Psych in the classroom, with my students attaining a 96% exam pass rate).

Organization, Study Skills, and “Learning to Learn”
I offer a variety of options for helping students to reach their full academic potential. If your student:

  • struggles with one or more of their classes
  • seems disorganized or inefficient
  • works slowly
  • or simply isn't earning the grades they're capable of earning

...please consider reaching out to me. My specialty is creating long-term, lasting academic improvement by providing students with a powerful combination of skills, strategies, confidence, and motivation.

"I wish you could come and teach my precalculus class. I can be lost for two weeks leading up to a test;

then I spend an hour with you and I'm good."

Fees
My fee for academic tutoring is $160 per hour. I do not ask families to commit to a package or any specific number of hours up front. Additional students for small group tutoring are $30 per hour per student. (A group of 2, for example, would be $190 per hour, split between the families to $95 per hour per student.)
